How to Many Areas of 4″, 5″, & 6″ Thick Slab can be cast With One Transit Mixer

Transit Mixer is a construction equipment that is used to transport the concrete or Mortar from the Batching plant to a construction site. It is mounted on a truck. The Concrete drum is fitted with a spiral blade and slowly rotates around its own axis so that concrete does not becomes solid. Consider;

Concrete carrying capacity of 1 Transit Mixer (TM) = 6 cum

Thickness of Slab (T) = 4″ = 0.34 Feet,

Let’s calculate

Concrete carrying capacity of Transit Mixer = 6 cum.

As we Know that, 1 cum = 35.314 Cft, so

Concrete carrying capacity = 6 cum = 6 x 35.314 = 211.884 cft.

How to Much Area of 4″ Thick Slab can be cast with One Transit Mixer?

As we Know that; Volume = Length x Breadth x Thickness.

Therefore,

Volume = Area x thickness

Volume of concrete = Area of slab x Thickness of slab

 211.884 CFT = Area of Slab x 0.34′

Area of Slab = 211.884 /0.34 = 623.19 Sq.Ft

We can cast 623.19 Sq. Feet Area having 4-inch thickness with 1 TM.

How to Much Area of 5″ Thick Slab can be cast with One Transit Mixer?

Consider;

Concrete carrying capacity of 1 Transit Mixer = 6 cum = 6 x 35.314 = 211.884 cft.

Thickness of Slab (T) = 5″ = 0.42 Feet.

As we Know that; Volume = Length x Breadth x Thickness.

Therefore,

Volume = Area x thickness.

Volume of concrete = Area of slab x Thickness of slab

 211.884 CFT = Area of Slab x 0.42′

Area of Slab = 211.884 /0.42 = 504.49 Sq. Ft.

We can cast 504.49 Sq. Ft Area having 5-inch thickness with 1 TM.

How to Much Area of 6″ Thick Slab can be cast with One Transit Mixer?

Consider;

Concrete carrying capacity of 1 TM = 6 cum = 6 x 35.314 = 211.884 cft.

Thickness of Slab (T) = 6″ = 0.5 Feet.

As we Know that; Volume = Length x Breadth x Thickness.

Therefore,

Volume = Area x thickness

Volume of concrete = Area of slab x Thickness of slab

 211.884 CFT = Area of Slab x 0.5′

Area of Slab = 211.884 /0.5 = 423.768 Sq. Ft

We can cast 423.768 Sq. Ft Area having 6-inch thickness with 1 TM.
